In order to achieve the Programme’s strategic objectives, the Partnership has identified four Priorities for action, each of which has Measures which provide further detail on implementation. These Priorities involve each of the four Structural Funds, European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), European Social Fund (ESF), European Agricultural and Guidance Guarantee Fund (EAGGF), and Financial Instrument for Fisheries Guidance (FIFG) which are available through the EU.
Some €308 million (£192.5m) is available to the Programme area until 2006. This incorporates all four Structural Funds and will be matched by approximately €367 million of public funding and €177 million of private finance. As a result of European Structural Funds being available, the Programme area will benefit from an additional €852 million of spending during 2000-2008.
Examples of projects which have received assistance through all four Funds can be found within the Case Studies section of this website.
