N+2 Update

As with the previous Special Transitional Programme, the Convergence Programmes are required to meet specific expenditure targets on an annual basis – known as the “N+2 target”.  Failure to achieve the targets will result in the difference between target and actual achievement being taken back from the relevant Programme by the European Commission and so lost to the Highlands and Islands area.  It is, therefore, imperative that applicants provide realistic claiming forecasts at the time of application and submit claims on a regular basis.  Failure to declare expenditure in line with forecasts from the approved application form may result in decommitment of grant.
