ERDF

The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) provides support for regional economic development including the provision of infrastructure and support for services to businesses and communities. Within the context of the European Union, ERDF helps to redress the main regional imbalances in the Community by participating in the development and structural adjustment of regions whose development is lagging behind and the economic and social conversions of regions.

Due to the type of projects assisted under this Fund, ERDF takes the largest share, i.e. 59.4%, of the Special Transitional Programme financial allocation.
