  Ministerial Announcement of ESF Awards under Round 5

The Skills Minister Angela Constance has announced European Social Fund support towards thirteen projects, worth £10.1 million in total, across Orkney, the Western Isles, Argyll and Bute and the Highlands will offer a range of courses aimed at providing the skilled workforce needed to protect and strengthen economic recovery in the region.

  €urosys Release

€urosys will be unavailable tomorrow (Thursday 17th Feb) between 9:00 – 10:00 to allow ISIS to install the next release.  This release will allow Participant Characteristics values in excess of 10,000 to be reported as the system at present only allows 9,999; this will also show a slight difference to the screen layout.

  Desk Checks 2010 Update

The IAB processed a very large volume of desk checks in the last few weeks of 2010.  We are currently confirming the amounts of any ineligible items with the Scottish  Government and are in the process of contacting applicants that will be affected.

  Additional Publicity Guidance

  Best Practice Awards - Deadline Update

It has been brought to our attention that the deadline for nominations for the Best Practice Awards coincides with the October school holidays in various parts of Scotland.  We are keen to ensure that all projects are given an equal opportunity to submit a nomination and so have extended the deadline to Thursday 28 October at 10am.  Please note that this is the final deadline and no extensions will be given.
