Monitoring & Evaluation

The European Commission, the Scottish Executive and the Highlands PME view monitoring and evaluation as an integral part of Programme Implementation. The Managing Authority has a responsibility to the European Commission to ensure that funds awarded to project sponsors are used in accordance with the regulations and as detailed in the approved application form. There is also a need to ensure that good value for money is achieved. Monitoring and Evaluation takes place at a number of levels -
