Registration
Applicant Organisations are responsible for all aspects associated with implementation, monitoring and reporting on projects. This includes application, acceptance of grant, project implementation including cash-flow management, submission of claims, monitoring and reporting progress, monitoring and verification visits, retention of project documentation for the prescribed period and maintenance of a full audit trail vouching expenditure incurred and defrayed. Such responsibilities are onerous. Organisations therefore require significant and sufficient administrative and financial capacity.
There are three main categories of eligible applicant: Public Sector, Voluntary or Charitable Organisations and Joint Ventures (Public/Private Partnerships). While all organisations are required to register and gain access to the Eurosys on-line application system, the following types of organisation are only required to submit the registration form online and not any additional information: Scottish Government; Other Government Departments; SDBs; Local Authorities; Enterprise Networks; NGOs / NDPBs; Colleges.
The private sector is not eligible to apply directly for funds. Private sector projects in the public interest may be eligible and require an eligible body to sponsor an application. If you are unsure of your eligibility please contact the IAB who will advise further.
Further details on this can be found within the Registration of Organisations Guidance Note found in the Downloads section of this site. Please note these are being updated to reflect the use of the Eurosys system and new guidance notes should be issued in early 2009 by the Scottish Government.
Potential applicants are required to complete an on-line registration form before they are able to submit a formal application.
This is accessed through Eurosys. The registration form is very straightforward simply asking applicants to advise of their organisation status, details of the main contact and the main signatory’s details. In addition, where appropriate, hard copies of the organisation’s Memorandum & Articles of Association, business plan, list of Board Members, Organisational Structure, and a copy of the most recently audited accounts plus the previous 2 years, are also required to be submitted. Please contact Rosemary Currie at the IAB if you require any further advice in relation to Registration.
